The best fries are found in Belgium, and Dutch star-rated chef Sergio Herman agrees. He wanted to create a place in the Netherlands where people could eat fries that would give them just that little bit more.
After months of experimenting, he locked down the perfect recipe and opened Frites Atelier in The Hague in 2016, soon followed by more establishments in Arhnem, Utrecht, Antwerp and Ghent. The latest new restaurant has opened in the capital of Europe, Brussels.
